Staff

All of our piercers have either completed our extensive 3+ year training process, or have a minimum of 5 years of piercing experience outside of our studio before they are even considered for employment at HTC.

The road to becoming an HTC piercer starts at the counter. Our counter staff are always willing to help you with whatever you need. They are friendly and knowledgeable, and can assist you with everything from jewelry selection to explaining proper aftercare methods, to answering that ever popular question “Does it hurt?”

After working as a member of the counter staff of at least a year, some of HTC’s employees are offered a piercing apprenticeship. This apprenticeship process lasts a minimum of 2 years, and focuses on making sure that the apprentice becomes the highest caliber piercer possible. As a customer of HTC, you can help our apprentices learn by allowing them to observe your piercing procedure, or even by allowing them to perform your piercing (for a discounted fee of course).

All HTC employees are required to be members of the Association of Professional Piercers and to maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogen Control through the American Red Cross.
